These last two fun filled weeks have been busy. I have had a few projects for teachers that I have been working on. Mr. Farrar wanted a couple of Socrative quizzes to help his students review for their chapter test. I was also finally able to talk to him about his website. So far, he really likes the design and layout. All he asked me to do was to add some more files for his students and links for himself.
I also helped out Mr. Lubbe, the algebra II and trigonometry teacher, with a printer that he found. He just wanted to know if it worked. If it wouldn't work, he wanted to know if we could fix it for him. At first, it didn't seem like it would work very well because it could not grab the paper out of the tray. Once I put a bigger stack of paper in it, the printer worked just fine. All it needed now was more ink.
The other teacher that I have been assisting for the last two weeks is Ms. Ledesma, the Spanish teacher. She wanted to put a calendar onto her website so that she can input the assignments they did in class that day. Alex and I spent quite a bit of time looking online for a widget to embed onto her website. The only calendars that I found, however, did not allow you to add events or assignments. They were just simple calendars with the date, month, and year. However, I was able to figure out how to make google calendars work, but she has not come in yet to get it put onto her website. Currently, she just has her homework assignments listed on her website, which is why she would like it to be a calendar. That way it will be easier to find assignments and navigate through them. After she comes in to get the calendar put onto her website, it would look like the image below, but with assignments.
