For the last month, Huesna and I have been making pacing guides, calendars, and vocab sheets for the different math classes. It has filled up most of my time, but I also started making a website for Ms. Spring this last week. I have also spent some time making my video for the ILE presentation, which is in a few days.

April 29, 2016 |
Mr. Farrar said that he hadn't used Doceri since I set it up and wanted me to check to see if it still works. So I went to his room to reconnect his iPad to his desktop. I also wrote out step-by-step instructions that tell him how to get it to work.
April 28, 2016 |
The whole class completed a digital citizenship assignment. We had to take quizzes on the curriculum and videos provided through the course.
April 22, 2016 |
Huesna and I finished the rubric/pacing guide for Mr. Tobin, but he also wanted us to create a calendar for it as well. So we have begun doing that.
April 7, 2016 |
Mr. Tobin gave Huesna and I a project to work on for the rest of the year. He wants us to create a rubric/pacing guide for the Algebra 1 class., which will be on every single section in the book so it will take some time to complete.
April 4, 2016 |
David and I finished the questions for Alix, which we sent to her in an email that also asked when she is available to do the interview. I then was finally able to upload photos to my weekly reflection so that I could turn it in.
March 25, 2016 |
I worked on my ILE today as I don't have any teacher assignments and the computers weren't working exactly right.
March 23, 2016 |
David and I are supposed to interview a former Northgate student, Alix Katague. So I was checking out some of the interview questions that we have written up so far, but I will be making more.
March 16, 2016 |
Mr. Farrar asked me to change some Kahoot quizzes into Socrative quizzes for him this morning. I was able to get both of them done just in time as he wanted them done by next period.
March 14, 2016 |
I was able to connect Mr. Farrar's iPad to his desktop in Doceri this morning. So now he can annotate and project lesson plans from his iPad.
March 10, 2016 |
Mr. Farrar asked me to fix one of his Socrative quizzes because it was having a problem. So I was able to get it done for him in just a few minutes.
March 9, 2016 |
Mr. Tobin asked us to fix up the digital literacy slideshow to make it more interactive. He wants me to use Zaption and some videos on YouTube to do so.
March 7, 2016 |
I spent some time today getting ready to screencast the Learn Spanish 24/7 app. I also got the app review tool filled out, which will help me write my app review.
March 2, 2016 |
Mr. Farrar asked me to check out Doceri for him. Doceri allows for teachers to present lessons from their tablet or desktop, but with annotating abilities. Basically, he can write out math problems on his iPad and have them projected to the whole class.
February 29, 2016 |
After checking on the Chromebooks, I started figuring out what to do with the Help Desk commercial.
February 26, 2016 |
I spent today fixing up my website so that it was more organized. I also went to see if I could update the Chromebooks in the language department so that they could run the tests coming up.
February 25, 2016 |
I tried to find a screencasting app to do my app review. I was able to find something that I can use, but since the app reviews were put off a week, I will do it another time. So I also tried to find a video editing program which is for the commercial we have to create for the help desk class.
February 24, 2016 |
I started working on my app review for the Learn Spanish 24/7 app. I have tested the app, but I will do a screencast of the app later this week. I am also going to do a teacher profile of Mr. Tubio either today or tomorrow.
February 19, 2016 |
Since I finished the digital literacy assignment, I decided to work on my ILE today. I was able to get the parts done for one device, but it is a very rough idea.

December 7, 2015 |
We were told to check out a Star Wars code today as our assignment. We used a block code to make a couple of simple games.

I was able to finish the questions for Bryan Zimmer's interview today. Now we are just waiting to actually interview him.
December 2, 2015 |
I continued my research today about Bryan Zimmer, Netflix's security engineer. I started coming up with a few questions, but we need about 6 total.
December 1, 2015 |
I spent today researching a security engineering, Bryan Zimmer, at Netflix for an interview. I have to come up with about six or so questions to ask him on Google Hangout. The interview video will then be put on to the help desk Youtube channel.

November 9, 2015 |
I just got a new app to review for this quarter! I chose College Match because it would be helpful to me too since I am a senior. I also sent out the mailchimp to Mr. Tobin with all of the added sections.
November 5, 2015 |
Once again, I spent today working on the newspaper article. I was able to finish every section and so now I can send out the article via mailchimp, which I will do tomorrow.
November 4, 2015 |
It was a somewhat busy day today. I have been adding things to the newspaper article these last two days. I finished the interview section, so I just need to complete the Zoho section and add an external link for the referral form.
November 2, 2015 |
Mr. Tobin gave me more things to put into the newspaper article. He wants the google hangout interview, the online referral forms, and a few other assignments that we have been working on in it.
October 30, 2015 |
Mr. Tobin asked Huesna and I to send our newspaper article out using mailchimp. We ended up being able to send it to Mr. Tobin so now we just have to see if it worked.
October 29, 2015 |
We were suppose to present our ILEs today, but Mr. Tobin said that we were going to postpone it for a week. So today I worked on a Socrative quiz for Mr. Farrar. I was able to complete the whole quiz all today. The way the questions were setup made it difficult to create the quiz, but I was able to make them true and false questions.
October 28, 2015 |
I finished my presentation for my ILE that will be presented tomorrow and Friday. Then I worked on another Socrative quiz for Mr. Farrar, which he wants by Thursday.
October 26, 2015 |
After submitting my bi-weekly reflection, I began my presentation for my ILE that will be presented on Thursday. It is mainly done, but I do not have much to show visually yet because I have not yet done the interview. All I have so far is the documentary part, which is not completely done yet.
October 21, 2015 |
Since it is Wednesday, I worked on the challenge that was given to me. Mr. Tobin asked me to make a newspaper article for the class with Huesna. We started it last week, but have just now completed it.
October 19, 2015 |
I spent today trying to fix my app review. I corrected it for grammar and spelling mistakes and made sure it fit the rubric.
October 15, 2015 |
After submitting my smart planning sheet to Mr. Tobin again, I worked on a challenge he gave me. He wanted to know if we could make a newspaper for the help desk class. I found a template online for a newspaper, so all we have to do is fill it in.
October 12, 2015 |
Even though I had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to log in, I was still able to get some work done. Today, I touched up both my website and Mr. Farrar's website. All I have left to do for Mr. Farrar is add in a few more external links and some assignments that he wants on his website. I also need to link a few of the pictures to the correct page, but I cannot do that until the site has been published. In order to publish the site, he needs to confirm his email address. So I will go talk to him about that sometime this week.
October 8, 2015 |
After completing Mr. Farrar's quiz, I started working on my app review that is due next week. All I have left to do for my app review is adding screenshots and/or screencasts.
October 7, 2015 |
Mr. Farrar asked me to make another Socrative quiz for him by tomorrow. So I spent today creating a chapter review quiz.
October 5, 2015 |
These last few days have been busy at Northgate's Help Desk. I was finally able to talk to both Mr. Farrar and Ms. Ledesma. I talked to Mr. Farrar about what else he will like in his website and he loves it so far. Ms. Ledesma is supposed to come in sometimes this week when she has created an email that way we can her a calendar on her website.
September 28, 2015 |
I went to talk to Mr. Farrar and Ms. Ledesma today, but they were not there or they were too busy to speak today. I helped a new student in the class with starting their website and telling them what we will be doing this year. I was also able to do most, if not all, of my app review.
September 25, 2015 |
It was another long day to get the computers on. I finished Mr. Farrar's website except for any files he may want. I also was doing some research for Ms. Ledesma's calendar for her website.
September 24, 2015 |
Today, I checked out a printer that one of the teachers wanted to use to make sure it worked. At first, it didn't want to copy anything. I realized that it was because it couldn't grab the paper. So I added more paper to see if that was the problem and it was. Alex and I are trying to find a way to put a calendar on one of the Spanish teachers websites for her assignments. She has to be able to edit each of the days with what was done in class. We will start to figure out how this can be done tomorrow.
September 23, 2015 |
I had to wait about 15 minutes just for the computer to start, but it finally started. So I began working on my new challenge for this week. Mr. Tobin asked me to upload a widget to my website that allows people to share files and folders. I was able to figure it out before the end of class. Now, I am just testing it to make sure it works.
September 17, 2015 |
I started the class off doing the challenge that I didn't get to yesterday. It was fairly simple, I created a google classroom for Mr. Tobin. I added all of his classrooms and then he asked me to see if I could upload files to more than one class at a time. I figured it out in a couple of minutes so I continued working on Mr. Farrar's website. I will still be doing things for his google classroom, but not until Mr. Tobin finishes setting it up.
September 16, 2015 |
Wednesdays are supposed to be spent doing the Google Ninja Program, but we will no longer be doing that. Mr. Tobin will give us "challenges" each Wednesday. I am supposed to make him a google classroom, but we were not able to get in until the last few minutes of class. So, Alyssa and I will work on it tomorrow or another day.
September 14, 2015 |
Since Mr. Farrar's Socrative quiz was done, I continued working on his website. I added all of the external links that he will need and I finished up the main layout of the site. I also completed my about me page.
September 10, 2015 |
After correcting our about pages and adding more information, I went to see Mr. Farrar about his website. I was able to talk to him about what he would like for his different tabs and what kind of design he would like. I also got my ILE approved. I am going to make a documentary about Camp Okizu, which is a camp for children with cancer and their siblings.
September 9, 2015 |
To start the class off, we took a picture together for the website. We are supposed to work on the Google Ninja Program again, but it wasn't letting me login. However, Mr. Tobin gave Alyssa and I a new project to start working on. I am supposed to build Mr. Farrar, a math teacher, a new website and Alyssa is making him Kahoot or Socrative quizzes.
September 3 , 2015 |
As I continued researching the Socrative App, we reviewed what we will be doing in this class. I am starting to think about what I could do for the technology learning modules and the individual learning endeavor.
September 2, 2015 |
I tried to start the Google Ninja Program today, but it wasn't working right. I was able to get through the first two lessons before it crashed. So I decided to continue my research on the Socrative Student application.
September 1, 2015 |
For the first time, I helped out a new teacher here at Northgate. Her projector had a problem that made the screen blurry and it was not in the right position. Since the auto-focus wasn't working, we discovered that the lens was dirty. It was a simple fix, but we got it done. We also rearranged the position of the projector so that it fit onto the screen.
August 31, 2015 |
After having to add another tab, tech news analysis, I completed the layout so it matched on each page. I also decided on the app that I want to review first, Socrative Student. I began the research for Socrative Student, but I will begin the review tomorrow.
August 28, 2015 |
Today, I finished the basic foundation of my website. After adding all of the tabs I need, I started researching all about what would be posted under these tabs. I was able to get a few ideas for what apps I could review, which I will begin next week.
